What makes detection of Autism Difficult–                                                             Intervention is the Best care   Mrs Shah’s instincts told her something was wrong when her son Ravi, then two, stopped singing his favourite song, “ Twinkle Twinkle Little Star “ Mrs Shah began to notice that her bright, happy toddler wasn’t talking much and he was no longer using gestures to communicate what he wanted. She said it was like a blank wall in front of him. “Everyone goes through denial: No, Not my child.” According to WHO, one in every 160 children worldwide is affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It is a neurological condition where most children have a hard time speaking in the public or become extreme introverts or extroverts. A study described the commonest presenting complaints as delayed development, speech delay and ‘being lost in one’s own world’. Create A Good Learning Environment

Home Schooling-Create a good learning Environment During early onset of COVID in India children were asked to stay at home for 3 to 4 weeks, subsequently during summer children stayed at home However post summer we were not ready to open school as COVID was  still rising and there is no end  in sight when school will reopen  This situation has created many challenges and problems to kids . They have to continue adopting to virtual learning schooling. We know just how hard it can be to support your kids as they learn, especially for those who are also trying to work. Over and over again we’ve heard this frustration from parents, especially those with young children who may need support. So, as an occupational therapist who works with young students, I thought I’d put together a list of strategies that will support all learners and prevent long term damage as you set up an at-home learning environment for your children.

Power of Story Telling

POWER OF STORYTELLING                Einstein is credited with saying, “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales. “He said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution”. So is the power of Storytelling.   We can say old stories as well as new stories, real stories and mythological stories. India has rich heritage of Mahabharat and Ramayana which are highly engrossing and teaches different aspects of life. Eklavya hid behind the trees and learnt what Dronacharya was teaching Arjuna. His passion for archery and hunger for knowledge made him a better archer than Arjuna. Moral to teach- You might not get access to the best classes or tools, but if you have the passion to learn and hunger for knowledge, you can still learn and be good at it. Education & Significance of Life

Image
A teacher is deepely invoved with flowering of human being   We seem to think that education stops when we leave school or college. We seem not to treat the whole of human existence as a process of self-education that is constant and perhaps never-ending. Most of us limit education to a very short period, and for the rest of our lives carry on in rather a muddle, learning only a few things that are absolutely necessary, falling into a routine-and of course there is always death waiting. This is our life really: marriage, children, work, passing pleasures, pain and death. If this is our whole life, which apparently it is, then what really is the meaning of education? We never ask these fundamental questions; probably they are too disturbing. But as we are teachers in colleges and schools, we must ask what the purpose of education and learning is. We know it is to prepare us for some sort of job and responsibilities, but apart from that preparation, what do we mean by teaching and what
